The Best Ways to Make Money Online
Now that's not to say that everyone can run off and start their own eBay, but you can start making money online, get a taste for it and gradually move your way up to a comfortable living. Did you know that some of the most profitable tools in an Internet marketer's arsenal are free?
Below I have given you three ideas that you can use to make real money online and best of all, they will all cost you under $20 to get started. Don't believe me? Try them out for yourself, what have you got to lose, a days worth of coffee and lunch?
Niche Blogging for Profits
On the other hand, some webmasters have spent months and/or years running their blogs without making a single cent, so why the difference. Just like with so many different online businesses, blogging is all about choosing the right niche, if you don't have that, you probably won't have any money coming in.
The idea behind targeting a specific niche is that you can not only make use of higher paying keywords, but also focus on a smaller audience, therefor driving targeted traffic in a shorter amount of time. So let's get on with how you can do this on a budget.
Niche blogging is built around finding profitable keywords, without those, you have nothing. While a person could easily spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on specialized keyword tools, it's really not necessary at this level and of course our budget.
What you can do, is put some of the great, free keyword tools at our disposal to use for now and when you begin making money, invest some of it back into the business on even better keyword tools. As for the free tools, my favorites are the Google Keyword Tool, Wordtracker Free Edition and the Overture Keyword Tool.
Once you use the tools to find some great low competition, high paying keywords, you will be ready to put them to work. For this you will need a blog and I suggest using Blogger for now. It is free and easy to setup, it is also owned by Google so you may get a little special treatment.
After setting up your Blogger blog, you need to start writing some content, utilizing the keywords you found earlier. About 10 articles is recommended, but you can do whatever you are comfortable with. You might want to do a little research on keyword sniping to effectively handle this process, you can also find some great information on that site for link building which will help get your new website ranked.
Starting a Freelance Writing Career
You will find that there are always people in need of content for their websites or blogs and most of them don't have the time required to write all of the material themselves. So they often do the next best thing, which is to outsource all of the writing jobs allowing them more time to focus on the promotion of their projects or getting new projects off the ground.
Chances are that if you can type and write English, you can probably pick up some freelance work. Some freelancers make a lot of money and money do it full time from home. You can check out places like webmaster forums, freelance work exchange sites and even Craigslist for freelance jobs just waiting to be picked up.
While a lot of webmasters are looking for very cheap work, most of them may be willing to pay more for quality work. Don't hesitate to turn down a job due to the low payment, you have to set a respectable price that you will not work for any less.
With that in mind, you should also be prepared to quote your own prices, usually on a per word basis, if needed. These prices vary from freelancer to freelancer so just determine what is a typical market value by looking at others prices.
Starting Your Own Domain Business
There is a lot of money to be made in buying and selling domains, and I am going to show you how to get started for around $20. Again due to the budget, we will have to place our focus on dealing in new domain names, which is by no means a problem, in fact a lot of domainers are doing it quite successfully.
The first step is to find a niche for your new domains, an unpopular domain won't sell, no matter how well you market it. Domains have to appear valuable to webmasters, whether it is their length, extension or related niche, they have to be appealing to the web savvy crowd. To find popular niches I would recommend using the free keyword tools I shared with you earlier in this article.
Once you have your niches you can track down the domains you will be using, this process can be tricky due to the sheer number of domains being bought each day. So to make life a little easier, we will again be using some great free tools and those are DomainsBot, NameBoy and NameTumbler.
Be sure to spend plenty of time thoroughly researching the possibilities for your domains. As you go along, construct a list of all potential candidates, which you can also use later on when you are buying more domains. Now that you have a list, determine the two best ones and those are the domains that you will be selling today. You can register them at GoDaddy.com, which will allow you to transfer them to the buyers account for free. If you do a little searching you can find GoDaddy coupon codes to lower the price of your domain purchase and remain within the budget.
While you can sell your domains in the various webmaster forums on the Internet, you will most likely make more money selling these domains on eBay, so you need to setup an account if you don't already have one.
All that's left now is to sell your domain names and make some profit. You are going to want to create one auction listing for each domain, making sure to include potential traffic to the niche and other information that may interest potential buyers. I would recommend starting each auction for something like $19.99 and the length of the auction is completely up to you, though you may bring a higher price with a longer duration.
If you have never sold anything on eBay, there are plenty of tutorials and tips on the web to get you started. Great, informative listings are the secrets to success on eBay, with one of those you can sell virtually anything.
